The KIMEP AI Conference 2026 is a two-day Artificial Intelligence event for high school students (Grades 9–12), organized by the School of Computer Science and Mathematics at KIMEP University.
The conference focuses on practical exposure to Artificial Intelligence through workshops, interactive activities, and team-based challenges. It also introduces participants to real-world AI applications and future study and career pathways in technology.
What to Expect
- Interactive AI Workshops
Hands-on sessions covering ChatGPT, Prompt Engineering, Image Generation, Robotics, and more designed to spark creativity and build real skills.
- KIMEP AI Challenge: A Team Competition
Win up to 150000 KZT in each thematic category”

Each thematic area has its own independent prize pool, so you compete within your chosen field.
That means 4 separate competitions — 12 winners in total.
Note: Students from outside Almaty are welcome to register and participate online.
