Dear KIMEP community,
With this letter I would like to let you know that next Saturday, June 10, from 2 to 5 pm we are planning to have our Summer Open House Day. This event is going to be held outdoors, on the paved area near the inner entrance to the Dostyk building and grass area across our Student Center. The thematic approach to this event is “Summer Barbecue with KIMEP University”. We are using the opportunity to showcase our University through our major asset – KIMEP campus during the summer.
Attached to this message you will find the list of participants. There will be 3 major components of the OHD program:
- Information Fair, which is scheduled throughout the OHD program, from 2 pm to 5 pm, and we will have 4 major locations for each college – BCB, CSS, CHE and LS where visitors will be asking questions and receiving answers. There will also be 2 more locations for administrative departments – Financial Aid Office and DSRA. We would like to ask each college to ensure the presence of 1 college manager and 1-2 current KIMEP students who will be ready to talk to prospective students and answer their questions. I would like to ask colleges and administrative units to send me the names of the staff members and students who will be representing colleges and departments by June 7, 2023 as latest.
- College presentations – I would like to ask college deans to nominate one faculty member who will be doing presentations on behalf of the college and let me know their names by June 7, 2023 as latest.
There is a plan to hold 4 presentations from each college on the grass area, scheduled as follows:
2:20 – 2:45 pm presentation from the School of Law
2:45 – 3:10 pm presentation from the College of Humanities and Education
3:10 – 3:35 pm presentation from the College of Social Sciences
3:35 – 3:50 pm presentation from the Bang College of Business
- Interactive activities – In addition to consultations and presentations DSRA students will be leading interactive activities and games to engage our prospective students and make them feel attached to KIMEP University!!!
