Students of the CSS about their summer internship at the MFA of the RK

In June – July 2021, 15 undergraduate students of KIMEP University of “International Relations”, “Public and Municipal Administration” and “International Law” specializations have completed their summer professional internships at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Of course, this is a huge contribution to development of their professional experience, but let’s listen to the students themselves:

Arman Moldagulov, BIR: My internship in the MFA of the RK gave me an opportunity to utilize my set of theoretical knowledge in practice. In addition, thanks to my internship, I have acquired several connections in three departments of the MFA, got acquainted with their duties, structure and had a great time with different like-minded people. Most importantly, thanks to this internship I have realized that I am willing to build my future career in diplomatic and political sphere.

Dinmukhammed Nurtayev, BIR: I took an internship at the MFA of the RK for two months and during these two months I got a tremendous experience in my field of study. I have acquired a great deal of knowledge in international relations and in life in general. It was very interesting, I learned about a number of official documents such as: letters to diplomats, consuls, diplomatic notes, agreements and others. I have learned what it is like to be an employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In general, as a student of international relations I think that this is a great experience that will help me in the future. On this occasion, I want to express my special gratitude to our university for this opportunity.

Olzhas Suleimenov, BPMA: The MFA of the RK gives a great opportunity to socialize with people having a huge professional and personal experience. I was lucky to have long conversations with colleagues there. Moreover, I was told about the necessary characteristics to possess to serve in the MFA, which gave me a more thorough insight to my future career.

Shyngys Amirkhan, BIR: My internship in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan proved to be very interesting and educating due to the fact that starting from the first days I was in the middle of the diplomatic service. My colleagues were very friendly to me, they were explaining me my duties, the structure of the department I was assigned to and how diplomatic documents work. I was interested in writing and translating various letters, preparing the documents for different presentations. My internship in the MFA gave me a good impression, it allowed me to understand that this is exactly what I want to do in the future and gave me invaluable work experience.

The internship was held in the regular offline format and, thanks to strict adherence to sanitary standards, the safety of students was ensured during the internship.

KIMEP University thanks the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan for this opportunity and looks forward to continuing this cooperation.
