ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
KIMEP AI Conference 2026 brings together high school students, educators, AI enthusiasts and experts to explore the future of Artificial Intelligence.
The conference offers an opportunity to learn about AI, discover its applications in everyday life and society, and showcase innovative student projects.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
• Conference Participation Certificate for students attending the conference.
• KIMEP AI Challenge — an opportunity for high school students to showcase their original AI projects.
• All KIMEP AI Challenge teams will present their projects before an expert judging panel and conference audience. Almaty-based teams will present in person, while teams from other regions will present online.
• Interactive AI Quiz — quiz winners will receive official KIMEP merchandise.
• KIMEP AI Challenge winners will receive scholarship prizes and certificates.
• KIMEP AI Challenge winners will be announced on Day 2 — 28 November 2026.
PRIZES
🏆 GRAND PRIZE — PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP (100%)
Each member of the winning team, up to three members, will receive a one-year, 100% tuition scholarship to KIMEP University.
🥈 SECOND PLACE — PROVOST SCHOLARSHIP (50%)
Each member of the second-place team will receive a one-year, 50% tuition scholarship to KIMEP University.
🥉 THIRD PLACE — VICE PRESIDENT SCHOLARSHIP (25%)
Each member of the third-place team will receive a one-year, 25% tuition scholarship to KIMEP University.
Additional awards:
• Certificate of Excellence for winners.
• Certificate of Participation for all participants.
*Students in Grades 9–10, as well as those graduating from high school after 2027, are also eligible to participate in the KIMEP AI Challenge. If they are members of a team that wins one of the top three prizes, they will receive consolation prizes in the form of SCSAI-branded merchandise instead of tuition scholarships.
Additionally, they will have opportunities to participate in future SCSAI events and attend free workshops on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (AI & Robotics).
IMPORTANT DATES
27–28 November 2026 — KIMEP, Almaty.
22 November 2026 — poster submission deadline for official conference printing.
25 November 2026 — final date for posters to be printed by the Organizing Committee.
28 November 2026 — KIMEP AI Challenge winners announcement.
Late submissions may still be accepted. Teams submitting after 25 November must bring their own printed A0 poster to the conference venue.
