On April 9, the anniversary KIMEP Job Fair 2026 was held at the Palace of the Republic, marking the 30th year of the initiative. The event became one of the largest career platforms in Central Asia, bringing together more than 2,200 registered participants, with over 1,200 students and job seekers attending in person.
A total of 108 employer companies participated in the fair, representing a wide range of industries — from FMCG, finance, consulting, and IT to the public sector and international organizations. Among the participants were Air Astana, Evrika, Mars, along with many other leading companies actively investing in young talent.
A distinctive feature of KIMEP Job Fair 2026 was its open, inter-university format. Students and graduates attended not only from KIMEP University, but also from SDU University, Narxoz University, and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Notably, around 35% of registrations came from students of other universities, highlighting the fair’s significance for the broader academic and professional community.
The anniversary event was not only a job-seeking platform but also a comprehensive career experience. Participants engaged in mini-interviews, connected directly with recruiters, and took part in the interactive Job Journey program — a format where students collected stamps through employer interactions and entered prize draws.
Event partners offered valuable prizes: Air Astana raffled flight tickets (both domestic and international), while Evrika, founded by KIMEP alumni, provided modern gadgets for winners.
“KIMEP Job Fair is not just an event, but a strategic platform connecting education with the labor market. We see strong interest from both employers and students, which confirms the relevance of this format and its contribution to expanding career opportunities for young people,” university representatives noted.
Students also highly appreciated the organization of the fair, highlighting the diversity of participating companies, the efficient communication format, and the practical value of the experience.
The KIMEP University Career Center, which has been organizing the event since 1996, continues to develop a dynamic career support ecosystem, bringing together students, alumni, and employers.
The successful hosting of the anniversary fair reaffirms that KIMEP University consistently pursues a strategy focused not only on academic excellence, but also on ensuring the career readiness of its graduates in a competitive global environment.
