On 14 April 2018, a team representing KIMEP University´s School of Law participated in the National Olympiad in Jurisprudence, which was organised by KAZGUU University under the auspice of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and won the 3rd place among 19 student teams.
The team consisted of Aibolat Kassymgaliyev, Aidyn Mukhambetov, Vlad Lim, Aizada Mustafina, and Magzhan Otantayev, and was coached by Dr. Sergey Sayapin and Mr Arman Shaikenov,
The Olympiad consisted of written assignments on the Republic of Kazakhstan criminal law and procedure, and civil law and procedure, as well as oral pleadings on civil law and procedure. The Olympiad was judged by representatives of international law firms, the Prosecutor-General´s Office, and by Judges of the Astana City Court.
Significantly, Aidyn Mukhambetov and Magzhan Otantayev were among the Olympiad´s top 10 students (among 94 participants), and were awarded individual certificates.
KIMEP University congratulates the team, and wishes the School of Law further success in training lawyers for the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
