Statement (spravka) for appyling:
Current students shall contact contracts specialist of KIMEP Corporate Development Department by cdd@kimep.kz to get a Transcript and tuition fee statement. We will provide one spravka confirming your GPA and tuition fee in 2026-2027 based on your information. In your email you should provide:
– Full name (official from your personal state ID);
– Scan of your personal state ID;
– Student ID;
– Credits to be taken in each semester – Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Summers 2027.
Please take into account:
– If you plan exchange program, internship or employment, you have to provide the most realistic number of credits. If you are planning the Exchange, please indicate it – for example – Spring 2027 – 12 credits (exchange). You must transfer all exchange credits within 2026-2027 AY by August 1, 2027.
– Spravka will be sent to your email within 3 working days after application.
The maintain criteria for this Scholarship during AY:
– withdrawn courses are not covered.

Prestige Scholarship
Scholarship covers: 100% and 50% tuition
Important! Deposits and fees (accomodation and library), as well as compulsory fees (student, medical, etc.) are not covered by scholarship
Duration: 2026-2027 academic year (cannot be extended)
Quantity: 9 with 100% (3 per 2nd, 3rd, 4th year of study) and 20 with 50% (5 per each year of study)
Citizenship: any
Selection criteria:
– 1, 2, 3, 4 year students and non degree students;
– at least 12 and above credits earned at KU (for 1st year students, non degree students and for students who previously transferred from other Universities);
– the highest overall GPA after Spring 2026, including any subsequent grade updates (e.g., Summer term), before final confirmation of awards, subject to the following minimum thresholds:
– 4.30 for 1st–2nd year students;
– 4.20 for 3rd year students;
– 4.10 for 4th year students;
(GPA thresholds are subject to change)
– If, following any grade updates, a selected recipient no longer meets the GPA requirements or their ranking position changes, the scholarship will be reassigned to the next eligible candidate from the original ranking list. Upward changes in the GPA of non-selected candidates will not result in a revision of the ranking. The original ranking list remains fixed and is not recalculated;
– minimum of 12 credits left for Fall 2026 before graduation;
– without “Incomplete” grades in the transcript;
– Essay (will be used only in tie cases; the use of AI tools is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification).
Additional criteria:
– other criteria can be applied if its required by Financial Aid office (e.g. no “retaken” courses, no “withdrawn” courses, interview, etc.).
The maintain criteria for this Scholarship during AY:
– keep full-time status in Fall and Spring semesters – register at least for 4 courses or 12 credits per indicated semester;
– overall GPA after semester minimum 3.50;
– retaken and withdrawn courses are not covered.
How to apply for the scholarship:
1. Fill in an online application form at the Student Portal.
2. Write an Essay in the Scholarship Application form. The topic of the Essay published on the application form. (The essay will be reviewed only in tie cases)
3. Update all your contact information and upload a recent photo on the Student Portal.
Application deadline: May 24, 2026 inclusively
Important! The distribution is based on student’s academic standing available after Spring 2026. Before the start of the 2026-2027 academic year, the overall GPA of the awarded student should not fall below required minimum, also by the Fall semester non degree student should be admitted to degree program. Otherwise, the scholarship will be redistributed to the next student from the waiting list.
Excellence Scholarship
Scholarship covers: 50% or 25% tuition
Important! Deposits and fees (accomodation and library), as well as compulsory fees (student, medical, etc.) are not covered by scholarship
Duration: 2026-2027 academic year (cannot be extended)
Quantity: 30 with 50% and 35 with 25% tuition
Citizenship: any
Selection Criteria:
– 1, 2, 3, 4 years students. To be eligible non degree students should be admitted to degree program by Fall 2026 semester;
– at least 12 and above credits earned at KU (for 1st year students, non degree students and for students who previously transferred from other Universities);
– certificate(s) of extracurricular achievement received only from August 31, 2025 within KU student life. Extracurricular achievement: Intellectual award certificates, Art award certificates, Sports award certificates and certificates/letters for community service;
– minimum overall GPA of 3.50 based on the academic record after Spring 2026, including any subsequent grade updates (e.g., Summer term), before final confirmation of awards;
– no “Incomplete” grades in the transcript;
– at least 12 credits remaining toward graduation as of the Fall semester (including graduating students);
– students on an exchange program may participate only if the distribution by colleges is conducted online. Participation is not possible if the distribution is held in person.

How to apply for the scholarship:

2. Upload a scan or photo copy of your certificate(s) received from August 31, 2025 only on the online application form. Combine all certificates in one file and assign a name for this file: StudentID – LastName FirstName (for example: 20232019 – John Smith). Please DO NOT attach older certificates, identity documents, IELTS, UNT and other unsuitable documents. If you upload any certificate with is no DATE on it – please indicate the full date on the “Description” field in the Application form. Otherwise, certificates without date will be excluded from Certificate Evaluation.
3. Update all your contact information and upload a recent photo on the Student Portal.

Presidential stipend for 3 and 4 year students
External partner: Ministry of Education and Science
Duration: monthly stipend during 1 calendar year (January – December)
Important! Awarded students will receive stipend payments (which may cover several months at once) only after KIMEP receives the funds from the Ministry of Education and Science (MES).
Citizenship: Kazakhstan
Selection criteria:
– All eligible candidates will be provided with an instruction how to apply for Presidential Stipend via KIMEP student email;
– 3rd and 4th year bachelor students (minimum of 69 credits earned);
– excellent academic performance (grades of A-, A, A+ only);
– participation in research activities (supported by diplomas, certificates, or other official documents);
– participation in republican and international Olympiads, academic or creative competitions, sports competitions, festivals; authorship of inventions; publications in recognized journals of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad;
– active participation in the social, cultural, and sports life of KIMEP University.
Required documents:
– unofficial transcript;
– copies of diplomas, certificates, and awards;
– recommendation letters.

Financial aid for siblings and family members, for KIMEP Alumni and for students from business sector
Financial aid covers: 20% tuition
Important! Deposits and fees (accommodation and library), as well as compulsory fees (student, medical, etc.) are not covered by financial aid
Duration: for the entire study period

Eligibility criteria:
– study at KIMEP graduate program;
– student should be a graduate of KIMEP degree program (undergraduate, graduate, PhD).

– spouse, children, siblings, parents simultaneously studied at KIMEP graduate program.
Note: if two current students from the same family are attending KIMEP, two of them will be offered 10% coverage of tuition.

Note:
a. If three and more full-time students come from one company, they will receive 20% coverage of tuition.
b. If a full-time student comes from partner companies’ employers, he/she will receive 10% coverage of tuition.
Application process: application process for financial aid by letters from Corporate Development Department and employment certificate The maintenance criteria for all these financial aid during AY:
– overall GPA after semester minimum 3.00;
– retaken and withdrawn courses are not covered.
1. If the applicant falls under two or more categories, the combined financial aid cannot exceed 30%.
2. The awarded students should follow the rules and regulations set by the Financial Aid Office.
3. The Corporate Development Department is responsible for providing, verifying and updating the list of partner companies whose employees will be eligible for financial aid.
