Pre-Arrival Checklist

Receive nomination from your home university (exchange student only) and fill in the Online Application Form: https://www.kimep.kz/prospective-students/en/admission/.

Receive the response from the Admission Office with student ID and complete admission requirements including interview. Once you fulfill all admission requirements and download all needed documents (passport, high/vocational school diploma), you will receive an Admission Eligibility Letter.

Prepare and download the following documents:
1. Vaccination records and COVID 19 vaccination passport/certificate or exemption (if any);
2. Criminal records certificate;
3. Bank account statement;
4. Apostilled original diploma and its supplement/transcript (degree students only);
5. Upload your COVID 19 vaccination passport/certificate or exemption (if any) to the Student Portal (https://my.kimep.kz/Covid/Covid19.aspx);

Apply for visa:
1. Fill in the online visa form: https://www2.kimep.kz/anon/hr/visaform or send filled in visa form (DOC format) along with scanned copy of your passport (PDF format) to the visa manager — visa@kimep.kz, WhatsApp +7 701 360 0216, the form ant its sample can be found at: https://www.kimep.kz/diam/files/2018/11/2018-KIMEP-VISA-FORM.pdf).
2. Receive the Cover Letter (which includes invitation letter and visa number) from the visa manager with detailed information on visa application process;
3. Check procedures, prepare the required documents and get in touch with the closest embassy or the consulate of RK to check if you have all needed documents for a visa application; make an appointment.
4. After receiving the visa, write an email to the visa manager (visa@kimep.kz) in advance and indicate the date and time of arrival to the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Required visa application documents:
1. Filled visa application form;
2. Invitation letter and visa support number;
3. One (1) passport-size photo;
4. International passport (original);
5. Visa fee;
PLEASE REMEMBER! Kazakhstan Embassy or Consulate may ask you for additional documents

Get in touch with the Coordinator on Incoming Mobility (incoming@kimep.kz) when you are certain about the date and time of your arrival to Kazakhstan.

Plan your accommodation:
1. If you are vaccinated against COVID 19 – book your room in the Residence Hall by filling in the from: (Reservation Fall/2021: https://my.kimep.kz/Campus/AccomodationOnCampus.aspx) please note, the move in hours are: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM, excluding holidays.
2. If you are not vaccinated against COVID 19 – contact Residence Life and Housing Department about your off-campus accommodation:

IMPORTANT! While crossing the Kazakhstani border, you must have a valid COVID 19 PCR test (PCR test is valid for 72 hours).
