On June 15, 2023, the Sports Center of KIMEP University had the pleasure to host an extraordinary event. The sports facilities usually used by our students at this time welcomed an intense game of ping-pong.
The President of KIMEP University, Dr. Chan Young Bang, faced Madam Jiang Wei, the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Almaty.
More than just a game, this event has been a great opportunity to show the importance of ties between KIMEP University and high representatives of the People’s Republic of China. Cultural and educational cooperation between Kazakhstan and its neighbor is of paramount importance, and KIMEP University intends to play a major part in the development of amical ties with Chinese educational institutions, through joint research and student exchanges.
The winner of the ping-pong match between Dr. Bang and Madam Jiang Wei remains a mystery. There will be more games to come, to the pleasure of our students, staff and faculty.
