Official statement

The safety, well-being, and dignity of our students remain among the University’s highest priorities. KIMEP has established procedures for receiving, reviewing, and addressing student concerns, including concerns related to faculty conduct. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to use the appropriate University channels so that any concerns can be reviewed through the proper process.

KIMEP follows established faculty recruitment and hiring procedures in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Faculty applications are first reviewed and assessed by a selection committee. Following a thorough review of qualifications, background information, and supporting documentation, the committee makes a recommendation to University management. After approval of the Selection Committee’s recommendation, the selected candidate is required to provide all necessary employment documents in accordance with applicable legislation and University requirements, including diploma verification and apostille where applicable, criminal background clearance, recommendation letters, and documentation confirming relevant work experience. These documents are reviewed prior to the signing of an employment contract and, where applicable, visa processing. The University is currently reviewing the information that has been brought to its attention and will determine any appropriate next steps in accordance with University procedures.

The University cannot comment on individual employment matters, specific personnel cases, or internal communications attributed to current or former employees. KIMEP also will not speculate on the accuracy of quoted or attributed statements without completing an appropriate review.

No student, faculty member, or staff member will face retaliation for raising a concern in good faith, asking questions, seeking support, or participating in a University process. Retaliation is prohibited and will not be tolerated.

KIMEP remains committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students.
