On May 28, KIMEP University’s Bang College of Business (BCB), serving as a Co-Chairing institution of PRME Chapter Eurasia, co-organized the 2026 PRME Chapter Eurasia Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Almaty.
The event brought together university rectors, deans, business leaders, and sustainability professionals from across Eurasia, along with representatives from the UN Global Compact and the Academy of Management.
The program featured opening remarks by PRME Head Dr. David Steingard, BCB Dean Dr. Nejat Capar, Narxoz University President Dr. Kanat Kozhakhmet, Narxoz Business School Dean Dr. Gulnara Kurenkeyeva, and PRME Chapter Eurasia Founder Dr. Assylbek Kozhakhmetov.
A key highlight of the event was a session focused on UN Global Compact partnerships and sustainability impact in Central Asia. Participants also attended the launch of The Power of Arts-Based Pedagogies: Transforming Mindsets to Shape Our Future, a new volume in the Routledge PRME Book Series featuring contributions from 36 authors across 17 countries, including a chapter by BCB’s Dr. Elmira Bogoviyeva.
An interactive panel discussion on responsible management research, co-organized with the Academy of Management, also stood out as one of the major highlights of the day.
The momentum continued with the AOM Community Accelerator Program (CAP) Silk Road Workshop, co-organized by KIMEP University, the Academy of Management, and Narxoz University, bringing together leading business school representatives from across Eurasia for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
