ACCA and KIMEP University renew important Memorandum of Understanding

Memorandum of Understanding will enable collaboration in order to increase visibility of accountancy as a profession in Kazakhstan to young and ambitious students 

The renewal signing of the MOU between ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and KIMEP University took place at a ceremony in Almaty, officiated by Helen Brand OBE, CEO of ACCA and Dr. Gissy from KIMEP University. 

KIMEP University students will be able to work towards becoming complete finance professionals by undertaking the ACCA programme to be offered on campus. The agreement builds on common and strong interests between ACCA and KIMEP for the sustainable development of the accountancy profession in Kazakhstan. 

Helen Brand OBE, Chief Executive of ACCA, said:

“The renewal of this agreement is of great importance for both ACCA and KIMEP University. ACCA takes the development of complete finance professionals who are supported, trained, examined and regulated to the same high standard globally very seriously. Working together with KIMEP will enable us to offer the qualifications and training necessary for students looking to start an exciting and rewarding career as finance professionals. We share KIMEP’s commitment to developing the accountancy and finance professions in Kazakhstan and look forward to building a successful partnership in the coming years.” 

Dr. W. Gissy:

“ACCA and KIMEP University will continue to work together to develop initiatives which will enhance the accountancy profession through joint workshops, seminars, discussion events and conferences. 

A key focus of the memorandum of agreement will be the maintenance and advancement of professional, educational and ethical standards and offering the opportunity for individuals of ability to pursue the ACCA Qualification.”
