- Application form for transfer or reinstatement (online). How to apply online?
- Copy of passport or State ID
- Digital photo with resolution of 300 ppi (pixels per inch) that is at least 8 MP (Megapixels) in size saved in a low compression (high quality) JPEG format;
- Medical certificate
- Official copy of student record/ transcript from the previous university (with a GPA of not less than 2.0);
- Academic standing confirmation;
- Unified National Testing (UNT);
- Document(s) confirming completion of secondary education (attestat) with supplemental support;
FOR STUDENTS THAT ARE TRANSFERRING OR BEING REINSTATED FROM FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES:
- Application form for transfer or reinstatement (online). How to apply online?
- Copy of passport or of State ID;

- Medical certificate
- Letter of acceptance from the previous university;
- Official copy of student record/ transcript from the previous university;
- Document confirming completion of secondary education (attestat);
All application packages are considered in the same manner, regardless of delivery method.
In some cases, especially with foreign applicants, the Admissions and Recruitment Office has the right to request additional documents (including licenses for educational activity of organizations issuing diplomas, confirmations of attestation and accreditation, confirmations of degree, specialization, and diploma, etc.)

Cases of fraudulent documents, or the submission of knowingly false information, shall be transferred for consideration to law enforcement bodies, in accordance with the order set forth by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The student may be transferred or reinstated to any program of study and to any specialization of undergraduate studies.
The related academic department will consider requests for transfer/reinstatement and the academic difference in disciplines of the curriculum within 5 working days during the period of summer and winter breaks, before the start of the next academic period.
Dear transfer and reinstating applicants,
To have your transfer of courses process started you should have a status of the KIMEP APPLICANT and follow the sequence of steps described below:
1. Go to your applicant portal https://www.kimep.kz/ext/application/online/en-US/
2. Enter “TRANSFER COURSES” section
3. click “ADD COURSE” button
4. Add all courses that you would like to transfer, upload all syllabuses/course outlines available
5. Do not forget to click the “SAVE” button in order to save all records made in this section.
Once the final decision is made, within three working days from the date on which the order on transfer or on reinstatement is issued, the written request to provide a personal file of the student is sent to the student’s previous university of study.
Defining English Proficiency Level
However, as teaching at KIMEP University is done exclusively in English, therefore, defining the level of English proficiency is mandatory. Students that did not undergo a procedure of defining their English proficiency start their studies from a zero level (UF C).
For defining the level of English proficiency KIMEP University accepts international English proficiency test certificates
