Dr. Chan Young Bang and the delegation visited WITS City in Machong, Dongguan, a critical part of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Science and Technology Innovation Corridor. WITS City plays an important role in supporting advanced manufacturing and high-technology development within China’s Greater Bay Area, with a particular focus on fostering innovation-driven industrial growth.

During the visit, the delegation was given a comprehensive tour of the facilities by Chairman Fang Guoxiong, Vice Chairman Zhang Jinying, and CEO Ang Li. The tour showcased WITS City’s approach to bringing innovative enterprises, research institutions, and technology-focused organizations together within a single incubator-style environment to encourage cooperation and partnership building.

Following the tour, Dr. Bang and members of the delegation held discussions with WITS City’s leadership on potential avenues for cooperation with KIMEP University. These discussions focused on opportunities for academic collaboration, research partnerships, and knowledge exchange, particularly in areas related to innovation, technology, and applied research.
