On 17 July 2025, Dr. Kang visited the Korea Peace Academy at Hanshin University. As part of his academic outreach across South Korea, he delivered a presentation introducing KIMEP University, the DPRK Strategic Research Center, and the research of Dr. Chan Young Bang. The Korea Peace Academy is led by the former President of the National Institute for Unification Education and is recognized for its commitment to inter-Korean dialogue and peacebuilding.

Dr. Kang’s longstanding connection with the Academy’s leadership played a key role in fostering deeper ties. This collaboration led to an invitation for Dr. Bang to deliver a public seminar on 28 July, focusing on North Korea’s survival strategy. The upcoming event represents a significant opportunity to share the Center’s research with a broader academic and public audience.
