Dr. Chan Young Bang and the KIMEP delegation met with Dr. Han Fangming, founding Chairman and chief sponsor of the Charhar Institute, who had personally invited the delegation to Shenzhen. The delegation was accompanied by Mr. David Chen of Charhar, who was responsible for coordinating the visit and ensured the smooth organization of the meeting.
The meeting took place over lunch and provided an opportunity for detailed and engaging discussions ahead of the symposium hosted by Charhar. Dr. Han and Dr. Bang explored a broad range of topics, including the current security situation on the Korean Peninsula, the prospects for multilateral engagement with North Korea, and potential areas of academic and policy collaboration between KIMEP University and the Charhar Institute.
The conversation was characterized by an open and collegial atmosphere, with both parties sharing insights and experiences, and identifying concrete opportunities to build on the already strong institutional relationship.
