FALL 2011 ELECTION COMMISSION

The KIMEP Student Association held a referendum to amend its constitution.  Voting took place on Friday, September 9, 2011, from 09:30 to 18:30, at the KIMEP Grill.

The two issues put forward were: To approve or disapprove the existing Constitutional requirement that a candidate for the presidency should have one year’s prior experience in the KSA government AND to approve or disapprove the proposed amended KSA Constitution.

The votes were counted between 18:30 and 19:30 on Friday, September 9, 2011, in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, members of the Election Committee, and student observers.

The Election Commission certifies the following results as a true and accurate count of the voting:
The existing requirement of one year’s prior experience in KSA government was approved 337 to 166.
The amended KSA Constitution was approved 346 to 147.
