Deadline for candidates to submit nomination papers for the KSA Cabinet Election
Dear Students,
If you are interested to participate in the election of the KIMEP Student Association (KSA) Cabinet as a candidate, please submit your completed nomination papers at the Office of Student Affairs by Saturday 17 September by 2:00PM. The names of the successful candidates will be announced on Monday 19 September at 10:00AM at the Office of the Student Affairs.
Those candidates whose nomination papers are rejected can appeal the decision in writing by 6:00PM on Monday 19 September at the Student Affairs Office.
The final list of the candidates will be announced and published on Tuesday 20 September after 12:00PM and with that the official Election Campaign will start for the 29 September KSA Election.

Nomination requirements:
In order to nominate a candidate to run for a position in KIMEP’s student association government, constitutional requirements must be met by the candidate.
Only full-time KIMEP students are eligible to run for office. The Constitution has different requirements for different positions. Look closely at the requirements for the position that interests you.
PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- One year previous experience in KSA government as an officially elected member;
- Grade point average of 2.67 or better;
- The endorsement of 50 (fifty) full time KIMEP students in good standing. These endorsements must be unique (the students cannot have endorsed any other presidential candidate).
- Must have earned at least 61 KIMEP credits by the time of your nomination.
If you wish to run for office, in order to show that you have these qualifications please produce the following packet of documents by 1400 hours Saturday, September 17, 2011, at the Student Affairs office:
I. List of signatures from at least 50 full-time students. The list should include signature, first name, last name and student number of each individual.
II. Photocopy of your student ID
III. Copy of the transcript of your grades from KIMEP
IV. Application form (see attached)
REQUIREMENTS FOR VICE PRESIDENT (VP) Administration; VP Sports and Culture; VP Finance;
1) Grade point average of at least 2.33
2) The endorsement of 40 (forty) full-time students in good standing. These endorsements must be unique (the student endorsing you cannot have endorsed any other candidate for the same position).
3) Must have earned at least 31 (thirty-one) KIMEP credits at the time of nomination.
If you wish to run for office, in order to show that you have these qualifications please produce the following packet of documents by 1400 hours Saturday, September 17, 2011, at the Student Affairs office:
I. List of signatures from at least 40 full-time students. The list should include signature, first name, last name and student number of each individual.
II. Photocopy of student ID
III. Copy of the transcript of your grades from KIMEP
IV. Application form (see attached)
REQUIREMENTS FOR DEPUTIES
The constitution allows for 12 deputies. In order to run for a deputy position a candidate must have the following qualifications:
1. Minimum GPA of 2.00 at KIMEP;
2. a) Endorsement of 10 (ten) full-time graduate students for a graduate student deputy;
b) 10 (ten) international students for an international student deputy; or
c) 20 (twenty) students for all other deputies.
If you wish to run for office, in order to show that you have these qualifications please produce the following packet of documents by 1400 hours Saturday, September 17, 2011, at the Student Affairs office:
I. List of student endorsements with the appropriate number of signatures. The list must include the first and last name of the student as well as the student ID number.
II. Photocopy of Student ID
III. Copy of your transcript of grades from KIMEP
IV. Application form
