Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Effective Public Policy and Management for the Benefit of Society
The 60-credit MPA program is offered by the Department of Public Administration at KIMEP's College of Social Sciences. It advances excellence in public and non-governmental policymaking and management through strengthening its participants’ leadership capacity, analytical skills, understanding of ethics, and sense of diversity.
Students may major in one of the following areas:
- Public Policy;
- Public Management;
- Financial Management;
- Natural Resource Management.
The MPA is a two-year, full-time graduate program, but may be completed in one year by those with significant and relevant previous study, such as that completed by KIMEP BSS graduates. The program combines core studies in organizational, financial, legal and political areas with a variety of specialist policy options. An internship in prominent government, public and private sectors is an important component of this program.
