Research Services for Language Center Staff
The mission of Language Center Research Services (LC-RS) is to create and maintain an appropriate research culture through research programs, grants, seminars by incorporating all language programs into a research environment.
LC-RS is working to transform the Language Center from a teaching center to a comprehensive language college with a balanced emphasis on teaching and research.
The main services it provides include but are not limited to the following:
- Soliciting applications for research funding and assessing them objectively for approval and support by the LC Academic Research Committee. Providing post-award project monitoring
- Planning and implementing short-range and long-range policies and goals for academic research
- Advising faculty on new research trends, opportunities and research resources development
- Planning and organizing presentations, seminars and workshops on issues of interest for the development of a quality research culture within the LC
- Preparing an end of year progress report
