The eASTANA project is coordinated by The Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology. The eASTANA consortium consists of 14 partner universities: 6 European and 8 third country partner higher education institutions.

The eASTANA program is focused on engineering, technology, business and management fields of study. In the case of business and management science we offer specializations only close connect to the industry development.
The mobility can be realized in six EU partner universities. There will be available 113 scholarships to be awarded for 1-34 months depending on mobility type/academic level.
Applicant Categories
Target Group1
Nationals of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan or Uzbekistan:
- Students who are currently registered in a higher education institution of these countries that is included in the eASTANA partnership.
- Academic Staff applicants must be employed at their home university by the time of the mobility.
Mobility levels: Undergraduate, Master, Doctorate, Post-doctorate, Staff
Target Group 2
Nationals of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan or Turkmenistan, who are currently registered in a higher education institution of these countries that is not included in the eASTANA partnership
OR
who hold a university degree or equivalent from any higher education institution in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. This includes persons working in public administration, public and private enterprises who hold a degree for any university in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

Eligibility
To the general eligibility criteria for Erasmus Mundus program, eASTANA has introduced its own eligibility criteria
- By the time of application Undergraduate students must have completed two full years of studies.
KIMEP fast-track and regular Master students may apply immediately after being enrolled at KIMEP.
- Doctorate and Postdocs candidates should have established communication with their respective potential supervisors at the hosting partner. In several host institutions the acceptance of a supervisor is the main condition for eligibility of the doctoral and post-doctoral candidates.
Application
Online registration began on 15 November 2011
Online registration has been prolonged till 12 February 2012.
The eASTANA program application comprises three stages:
- Creating an account on website http://eastana.meil.pw.edu.pl/ .
- Filling in the on-line application form, uploading required documents, and submitting the application on line.
- Printing out the complete application form. Posting required documents before the deadline. Each applicant has the possibility to choose three universities.
At the stage of Application the IRO will write a letter o support for English Language proficiency for applicants upon their request. Master or PhD degree seeking applicants have to provide with official results of language proficiency test and GRE/GMAT, in other words, follow admission procedure at the host university.
The application will be processed, once all above three stages are finished.
Selection
Selection will be done in three cohorts in academic years 2011/2012, 2012/2013, 2013/2014.
Selection Criteria for undergraduate and master students’ mobility:
- Home university recommendation (not for group II)
- Host university qualification
a) Host university opinion
b) Academic records - Language level
- Motivation letter, plan of work and CV
- Gender and social equity (in the case of applications of same high quality, gender or disadvantage students will get the place).
Selection Criteria for staff mobility:
- Plan of work (6 points)
- Motivation letter (5 points)
- CV (4 points)
- Positive opinion of receiving institution (5 points)
