Medical Insurance
All students at KIMEP can use the KIMEP Medical Center. If necessary, doctors at KIMEP will recommend external care for students from this list of Clinics in Almaty. In cases of emergency, we also recommend getting an insurance policy in your home country, preferably one that has partners in Kazakhstan.
The Medical Office is located in KIMEP Student Dormitory on the ground floor. Medical services are provided by KIMEP medical staff. English speaking medical staff is available 7 days a week, 24 hours per day.
The medical services include an ambulance and urgent medical assistance, outpatient care (therapy), primary pre-medical-sanitary assistance, vaccination, physiotherapy (quartz-lamp), X-ray examination (once per year), medical information (lecturers, board, newspaper and e-mail info). In case of emergency during night, weekend and holidays, please call 103 (only with a translator). The Medical Office also issues medical certificates in case of students’ illness. The certificates cover all missed classes. Upon their approval by KIMEP Medical Office staff, medical certificates from other medical centers are also accepted by KIMEP faculty and staff.
