KIMEP accepts applications throughout the year. This makes it possible to start your studies at KIMEP in any semester: Fall, Spring or Summer semester. All applications need to be sent directly to the International Admission Office. However, the sooner you apply, the sooner we can get started on sorting out your accommodation and preparing you for life in Almaty and your study at KIMEP.
Who Can Enter KIMEP?
A degree (freshmen student) is any student who intends to complete a program of study and earn a degree which is offered by KIMEP. A degree
student can attend either full time or part time. International applicants must have completed their entire previous education (read more about Recognition and Verification procedure).
Transfer student is a student admitted to KIMEP after successful completion of at least one academic semester at another higher education institution.
Vocational school student. Vocational school is a school, especially the one on a secondary level that offers instruction and practical introductory experience in skilled trades. The particular names and type of vocational schools depend on country specific.
Non-degree students is a student who would like to attempt certain credits/courses at KIMEP without being awarded with an academic degree.
International student is an individual who is not the citizen or resident of Kazakhstan
Returning student is a student withdrawn from KIMEP either voluntarily or administratively and willing to complete their degree requirements at KIMEP. This student must have previous academic history of not less than one academic semester completed.
Exchange students is a non-degree student who comes to KIMEP University for a semester or two from a partner university.
