Dormitory

The KIMEP dormitory is located on campus in the center of Almaty. Due to its highly convenient location, affordable prices and the limited number of free rooms, the distribution of dormitory places is considered a part of KIMEP financial aid. Accommodation costs in the dormitory are much cheaper than renting a flat in the city. The list of required documents and application procedures are the same as for financial aid. |
Places in the dormitory are distributed by taking into consideration the following order of priorities:
- Official House Parent Resident Assistants (2 per a floor),
- Disabled Undergraduate and Graduate students,
- Orphaned undergraduate students,
- International exchange students and International freshmen undergraduate students,
- 1st year entering undergraduate students from outside Almaty (including 1st year transfer students) based on financial need,
- Undergraduate Students 17 (or younger) based on financial need,
- Other undergraduate freshmen students (based on year of entry & financial need starting with the 1st year students),
- Undergraduate Current Students.
The KIMEP Housing Department runs its own database of apartments available for rent. The Department assists students, teachers and staff looking for an apartment and/or room-mates.
