Training Professionals for the New Millennium Market Economy of Kazakhstan
The mission of the 129-credit BA in Economics program is to produce future economics professionals and experts for both public and private sectors through intensive teaching, learning, training and scholarship. By emphasizing the methods of analysis of social systems, the BAE curriculum provides fundamental reparation for careers not only in economics, but also in law, finance, business and public policy. The program is offered by the Department of Economics at KIMEP’s College of Social Sciences.
The program offers following two specializations:
- Public Policy Economics;
- Business Economics.
The students may also choose to graduate without specialization, which allows for more freedom in selection of electives courses.
Careers for BAE graduates include:
- Economists with governmental and non-governmental organizations;
- Money and banking sectors;
- Financial Analysis and Advising;
- International organizations;
- Economic analysts;
- Academia;
- Private business entrepreneur;
- Law.
