Shymkent trip: The numbers of applications has increased by 61% compared with the last year

Undergraduate Admissions Office would like to inform that between February 10 and 13, 2012 a trip to Shymkent city took place with the purpose of professional orientation in secondary schools and vocational schools, and also for holding the Open House Day and entrance examinations for graduate and undergraduate programs for the academic year 2012-2013.
Together with the professional orientation work the Open House Day was successfully held, gathering 200 visitors, out of which 180 applied to KIMEP. We would like to inform that the academic quality of the applicants has stayed at the level of the last year – 28% or 51 applicants indicated that they are the candidates for Altyn Belgy certificate. 67% of the applicants prefer to start their studies from Fall 2012 semester. School ranking in terms of number of applied to KIMEP is as following: Kazakh Turkish Lyceums for gifted boys and girls, Gymnasium # 9 named after Zholdasbekov, and Technical lyceum.
