WannaBe MAG – New Social Network Site for KIMEP students
Created especially for KIMEP students, Wannabe.kz website offers a variety of services that would help young people learn more about their instructors, establish relationships and communicate with each other.
Launched at the end of November, Wannabe.kz website has already proved to be one of the most engaging platforms for online communication. KIMEP students actively use all services of the website, including blogging, teaching evaluation, forums and integrated full-featured social network.
“Popularity of social network sites among students grows by leaps and bounds,” says Liya Budiyanskaya, a deputy editor of WannaBe MAG. “KIMEP students use them even for consultations upon final exams and choice of instructors. But there was no social network site that would include all features KIMEP students always needed, so we decided to solve this problem.”
Moreover, both high school students and their parents can participate in online discussions, ask questions about KIMEP and its academic programs.
Wannabe.kz has interesting entertaining articles and useful information about grants, scholarships and internships for KIMEP students.
The website is organizing a Hogwarts-like competition among the departments. The goal of it is to develop leadership skills of KIMEP students and show them the value of doing good in both academic and social life.
KIMEP has launched its own social network site – “WannaBe MAG”!
