Dear Graduate Students, Please pay your attention
Please pay your attention that since the last academic year some changes in Academic Probation Policy was introduced. Starting from 2011-2012 academic years:
- Students under 18 credits taken with GPA less than 3.0 for MBA and LLM and 2.67 for other Masters programs have obligatory academic counseling as a block to registration.
- Students are placed on Academic Probation (AP) if after 18 credits taken their cumulative GPA is still less than 3.0 for MBA and LLM and 2.67 for other Masters programs. They can be returned to regular status at once their GPA is raised to 3.0 for MBA and LLM and 2.67 for other Masters programs or above.
- Semester GPA is not a criteria for academic status reconsideration
- Dismissal Warning status shall be eliminated effective Spring 2012 semester.
Unabridged version of the policy you can find in the Catalog 2011-2012 (page 32).
Academic Probation Policy is effective from Fall 2011 semester, however those currently on Dismissal Warning (DW) status will be permitted to continue in that status to the end of fall 2011 semester and then will be moved to regular status or academic probation or dismissed based upon their performance in that semester. Those students on DW not currently enrolled will be moved to AP. Number of credits attempted for further status reconsideration will be counted starting from the moment of their last placement on AP preceding DW status.
