Adult learning provisions

Dear visitor,

KIMEP has two options available for studying at KIMEP programs courses for personal reasons without the intent of earning a degree. These are Non-degree and Adult Learning.

Non-degree

  1. Non-degree applicants are required to submit the following documents to the Admission Office:
    ·    A completed Application Form;
    ·    Four passport-size photos (3x4cm) – color or black-and-white;
    ·    A copy of the passport or national ID card. (the original is required);
    ·    A certified copy of the attestat or diploma with transcripts.
  2. Non-degree applicants must pass the English Proficiency Test (EPT). The result of this test is valid for one year after it is taken.

  3. Non-degree students must pay all tuition fees before registering for classes. If they fail to do so they will not be allowed to register for classes.
  4. Non-degree students may take a maximum of 18 credits (6 courses) per semester, and may only take courses for which they meet the prerequisites.
  5. Registration for non-degree students is opened two weeks before classes start.
  6. If a non-degree student applies to a degree program, he/she may transfer no more than 18 credits (6 courses) taken as a non-degree student at the discretion of his/her department.

Tuition fee per 1 graduate (Master) course is 142 800 tenge.

Adult Learning (New)

Under this policy applicant can audit any courses they like such as Marketing or Financial Institution and etc. In order to be involved in that process a person should be above 21 years old.

Adult learning status bears following provisions:

  1. He/She is not formally a student of KIMEP
  2. there will be no grades
  3. no formal transcript
  4. only special transcript or certificate that says that the course was audited
  5. courses taken on auditing basis can not be transferred or converted to degree programs at KIMEP.

Tuition fee for 1 graduate (Master) course is half of Non-degree tuition fee (71 400 tenge).
