Non-degree

KIMEP provides an opportunity to all those who wish to apply (hereinafter – “the applicants”) to take any courses, stipulated by the curricula of undergraduate programs, without awarding the academic degree. For the applicants, wishing to study at the undergraduate programs without obtaining the academic degree (non-degree status), acceptance of documents and conducting the KEET (KIMEP English Entrance Test) shall be executed before starting of registration to each semester. Please follow the schedule of KEET (entrance exams)

The applicants shall provide the following documents to the Undergraduate Admissions Office:

  • A filled-in application for non-degree study;
  • 2 passport size photos (3х4) – colored or black-and-white;
  • A photocopy of passport or national ID;
  • Notarized copy of the Attestat with transcript or of the Diploma with transcript;

  1. The applicants shall take KIMEP English Entrance Test (KEET) as the entrance examination.
  2. Students admitted for non-degree status, shall make 100 % payment for their studies, in accordance with the tuition, established for the current academic year.
  3. In case of subsequent admission to the undergraduate program the student may apply for transfer credits, earned at KIMEP during non-degree study provided that the following conditions are met. A student who earned credits at KIMEP as a non degree student and who is later admitted, readmitted, or reinstated to a degree program may transfer all credits earned before December 31, 2008 to a degree program if the degree program accepts the credits. However no more than 18 credits of coursework earned in spring semester 2009 or thereafter can be transferred to a degree program. Only credits applicable to the degree are transferred and posted to the academic record. The courses are posted with the original grades earned.
