Review our requirements
If the student was in good academic standing at the time of withdrawal (2.0 GPA or an equivalent of 63% average passing level on non-credit courses and above) the following re-admission requirements apply:
- The re-admission process includes KIMEP English Entrance Test (KEET) that may be taken at any of the officially announced entrance examination dates (a waiver of the KEET test from the Director of the Language Center may be granted. The decision to waive the KEET will be based on the record of academic performance, on the amount of the time since the applicant last attended KIMEP classes, and on the activities since the departure from KIMEP such as study abroad)
- UNT/CTA requirement is waived
- Math placement is up to GE assessment
If the student was in poor academic standing (GPA is below 2.0) the following re-admission requirements apply:
- The student may not apply for readmission for at least one full Fall or Spring semester (15 weeks) following the end of the semester from which the student was dismissed
- The re-admission process includes KIMEP English Entrance Test (KEET) that may be taken at any of the officially announced entrance examination dates
- The student has to have an official permission for readmission from the program to which the student applies
- Math placement is up to GE assessment
- UNT/CTA requirement is waived
- Transfer to another program is permitted only after completion of 30 credits (credits transferred from the previous records are not counted)
_______________________________________________________________
- Regular degree status can be obtained on a competitive basis according to the admission procedures for new students.
- A readmitted student follows the catalog at the time of readmission and must complete the degree within the time limits specified in that catalog.
- Credits previously earned at KIMEP may be transferred and counted towards the degree requirements according to the policy of KIMEP and the degree program.
- Other students who do not meet the criteria mentioned above (no previous academic records with KIMEP) are treated as new applicants and, therefore, shall go for the regular admission procedure provided that all application/admission requirements set for the year of entry (KIMEP Admission requirements as well as MOE requirements) are met.
