Transfer student
Students enrolled in undergraduate programs at universities in the RK shall submit the following documents to the Undergraduate Admissions Office:
- A completed application form for admission to KIMEP (printed copy or on-line);
- Four recent passport-sized photos (3×4) – colored or black-and-white;
- A photocopy of the passport or national ID card (original passport/ID shall be presented during application process to verify an individual);
- A request for a transfer written to the Vice President of Academic Affairs of KIMEP;
- A copy of a transcript signed by the Registrar’s Office of the previously attended university;
- A copy of the student card, signed by the dean of the college (director of the institute);
- A copy of the Unified National Testing (UNT) or the National Complex Test (CTA);
- A copy of the request to transfer written to the head of the previously attended institution of higher education (signed and stamped by the head);
- Copies of any certificates, diplomas and awards related to the area of specialization, and also any other certificates, diplomas and awards (in language proficiency, sports achievements, etc) for the last 3 years;
- Application essay
- Diplomas of all republican and international Olympiads and scientific competitions in any subject, and also the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree diplomas for the last 3 years (if available)
- At the applicant’s own discretion, he or she may submit any other documents he or she considers relevant to attach to the application form.
Students enrolled in undergraduate programs at universities outside of the RK shall submit the following documents to the Undergraduate Admissions Office:
- A completed application form for admission to KIMEP (printed copy or on-line);
- Four recent passport-sized photos (3×4) – colored or black-and-white;
- A photocopy of the passport or national ID card (original passport/ID shall be presented during application process to verify an individual);
- Request for a transfer written to the Vice President of Academic Affairs of KIMEP;
- A copy of a transcript signed by the Registrar’s Office of the previously attended university;
- Copies of any certificates, diplomas and awards related to the area of specialization, and also any other certificates, diplomas and awards (in language proficiency, sports achievement s, etc) for the last 3 years;

- A notarized translation into English/Russian/Kazakh language should be attached to all documents that are not in any of the three languages mentioned.
According to the rule of the Ministry of Education and Science of the RK # 638 as of December 9, 2008 students enrolled in undergraduate programs at universities in Kazakhstan and outside of the RK may apply to transfer to KIMEP only after successful completion of the first academic semester of study at their current university.
